Leak sensor tripped (Aquastop)
What causes it
Water detected in the base pan — could be an active leak or a failed float switch.
What it means in practice
The leak protection system found water in the base pan and shut the machine down. It can be a genuine leak, but a failed float switch can also trip it.
What to check before calling
- ✓Unplug the dishwasher and mop up any standing water in the base — don't run it again until it's inspected.
- ✓Check that the machine is level; an unlevel installation can trip the float switch falsely.
- ✓Look in the base pan or under the dishwasher for standing water.
- ✓Tilt the dishwasher slightly if you can do so safely, to help trapped water drain.
When to call a technician
If water is leaking or the code stays after the pan is dry, the leak source or float switch needs inspecting.
