The convection fan motor has a fault. The oven may still bake but with uneven results.
What to check before calling
- ✓Power-cycle the range at the breaker.
- ✓Check that nothing is blocking the convection fan vent inside the oven.
- ✓Turn the oven off and on at the breaker to reset it.
- ✓Listen for the convection fan when you start a convection mode.
When to call a technician
If the fan doesn't run or the code returns, the fan motor needs testing.
If those checks don't clear the E76 / E77 code, it's usually a sign of a failed part rather than something to keep resetting.
