What it means in practice

The oven's temperature probe isn't reading properly, so the control can't regulate heat. The probe may be failed or disconnected.

What to check before calling

• ✓This points to the oven temperature sensor (the metal probe on the back interior wall) — check that it isn't touching the oven wall.
• ✓If it's not touching and the code persists, the sensor likely needs replacing.
• ✓Switch off the breaker briefly to reset.
• ✓With the oven cool, check that the probe inside the oven isn't touching the wall or damaged.

When to call a technician

If F3 or F4 persists, the temperature sensor needs replacing.
