What causes it
Power was interrupted mid-cycle; usually clears after a reset.
What it means in practice
This isn't a fault. The microwave lost power mid-cycle and is letting you know. A brief outage or tripped breaker is the usual cause.
What to check before calling
- ✓No action needed — this just logs a power interruption. Press Clear/Off and try again.
- ✓Press Clear/Off to clear the message and set the clock if needed.
- ✓Check the plug and the breaker.
When to call a technician
If PF appears repeatedly without outages, have the outlet and wiring checked.
