F-3
Stuck keypad button
What causes it
The membrane keypad has detected a button that isn't springing back up, often from trapped moisture or a worn membrane.
What to check before calling
- ✓Unplug the microwave for 5 minutes, then press each button to feel for one that stays down or feels different from the rest.
- ✓Wipe the keypad area dry and let it air out before plugging back in — if F-3 returns, the keypad assembly needs replacing.
What happens when you call us
If those checks don't clear the F-3 code, it's usually a sign of a failed part rather than something to keep resetting. A technician runs a full diagnostic on your microwave, confirms the cause, and quotes the repair before any work starts. The $89 service call is waived if you go ahead with the repair, and parts and labor are covered by our 90-day warranty on parts & labor.
Still showing F-3?
