Communication error between the control board and display
What causes it
Most often a door wire harness that has cracked at the hinge from years of opening and closing; less commonly a failed board.
What to check before calling
- ✓Slowly open and close the door while watching the display — if the error flickers in sync with the door, the hinge wiring is the culprit.
- ✓The fridge usually keeps cooling on its last setting even with this error, but don't leave it unresolved — call us to replace the harness or board.
What happens when you call us
If those checks don't clear the SY CE code, it's usually a sign of a failed part rather than something to keep resetting. A technician runs a full diagnostic on your refrigerator, confirms the cause, and quotes the repair before any work starts.
