Freezer sensor fault
What causes it
Faulty freezer compartment temperature sensor.
What it means in practice
The freezer's temperature sensor isn't reading properly, so the refrigerator can't regulate the freezer. It may cool too much, too little or erratically.
What to check before calling
- ✓Check that the freezer vents inside aren't blocked by food packages.
- ✓Power-cycle the fridge at the outlet for 5 minutes.
- ✓Unplug the refrigerator for a few minutes and plug it back in.
- ✓Check the freezer temperature with a thermometer.
When to call a technician
If Er FF persists, the freezer sensor needs replacing.
