Sensor bar needs cleaning, or a sensor circuit fault.
What to check before calling
- ✓Wipe down the metal moisture sensor bars inside the drum with a damp cloth — residue buildup is the most common cause.
- ✓Run an empty cycle to see if it clears.
What happens when you call us
If those checks don't clear the AE code, it's usually a sign of a failed part rather than something to keep resetting. A technician runs a full diagnostic on your dryer, confirms the cause, and quotes the repair before any work starts.
