What to check before calling

- ✓Check the door switch/strike for lint buildup or damage.
- ✓Check that nothing is caught in the door and close it firmly.
- ✓Look at the latch for wear or damage.
When to call a technician
If the door closes but dE stays on, the door switch or latch needs replacing.
