What causes it
Faulty temperature sensor.
What it means in practice
The dryer's temperature sensor isn't reading properly. Without it, the control can't safely regulate the heat, so it stops.
What to check before calling
- ✓Power-cycle the dryer at the breaker.
- ✓This is a sensor fault — if it returns, it needs a technician to test/replace it.
- ✓Unplug the dryer for a few minutes and try again.
- ✓Clean the lint filter and vent to rule out airflow problems.
When to call a technician
If tE returns, the thermistor or wiring should be tested and replaced if needed.
