The dryer doesn't register the door as closed, so it won't start. A small obstruction or a worn door switch is usually behind it.
What to check before calling
- ✓Firmly close the door until it clicks.
- ✓Check the door switch/strike for lint buildup or damage.
- ✓Open the door, clear any lint or clothing from the latch, and close it firmly.
- ✓Listen for a click when you shut the door.
